Home Assistant 32
Privacy policy
Website policy updated October 17, 2026. App disclosures effective September 19, 2026.
Home Assistant 32 is a personal household integration operated by Matt Belo. This policy describes the integration's use of Google Nest data and this informational website.
Data accessed and purpose
After the Google account owner grants access, the integration may receive home and room information, postal code, device identifiers and settings, thermostat temperature and humidity, and supported camera livestreams, snapshots, and motion or sound events. It uses this information to display device status, enable household automations, and carry out authorized device-control requests in Home Assistant.
Storage and access
Home Assistant stores the credentials needed to maintain the authorized connection. Device states and events may be retained in its history, logs, and backups according to that installation's configuration. Camera media is requested when supported features are used. This website does not display or receive the household's device data, camera feeds, or authorization credentials.
Sharing
The integration communicates with Google's services to provide the authorized functions. Device data is used for personal household operation, not sold or used for advertising. Access within Home Assistant is controlled by its administrator. Google and the website hosting provider process information under their own applicable policies.
This website
The contact form collects your email address, message, and name if you provide one, so Matt Belo can respond. Formspree processes submissions, filters spam, and delivers them by email; submissions may also be retained in its submission archive. See Formspree's privacy policy for its processing practices. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and connection signals to help distinguish people from automated submissions; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Contact messages are separate from the Google Nest data described above. You can use the contact form to request deletion of a previous message. These pages contain no advertising trackers or custom analytics. The hosting provider may process standard connection information, such as IP address and request details, to deliver and protect the website.
Revoking access and deletion
The Google account owner can revoke the integration's access through Google account connection settings and remove the Nest integration from Home Assistant. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not automatically erase prior Home Assistant history or backups. The household administrator can remove retained data through the installation's normal data and backup controls.
Questions
This integration is restricted to the operator's household. Authorized users can contact Matt Belo directly through their existing household contact details for privacy questions or deletion requests.
